Donegal artist, Sharon McDaid, works in a variety of media and is inspired by the surroundings of her native Inishowen. Her works convey life in Donegal and the diversity of the landscape.
Suggestive mark-making and vivid colour makes Sharon's work innovative and distinctive yet leaving something to the viewers imagination.
This accomplished artist works primarily in oils and a variety of other media to produce works in comtemporary and more traditional styles.
Sharon studied at NWIFHE in Derry and at the University of Ulster in Belfast where she obtained her BA(Hons) in 1996.
Since then Sharon has exhibited her work widely and also shows from her own gallery in North Inishowen.
Over the past 10 years her work has become part of many private and public collections at home and abroad.
Sharon also frequently undertakes large scale commissions for public and corporate buildings.
